Michael Paasche-Orlow, M.D., M.P.H, M.A., is a general internist and clinical investigator with an interest in the role of limited health literacy in chronic disease management. Michael is a graduate of Columbia College (BA), The Jewish Theological Seminary of America (MA), Albert Einstein College of Medicine (MD), the NYU-Bellevue Internal Medicine Primary Care Residency Program, the Johns Hopkins School of Public Health (MPH) and the Johns Hopkins Bioethics Institute Fellowship Program. Michael is an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Section of General Medicine, a the Boston University School of Medicine. Michael is currently involved with several health literacy intervention projects. The main objective of these projects are to remove unneeded complexity from medical care and to empower patients.
