This event will give you an opportunity to meet with representatives with each of these sites and may help you determine which projects you have the greatest interest in. This will also give the site supervisors an opportunity to meet you in person and get a better idea of your background and interests.

A: Members will receive $808 each month. This money is taxable.

A: Your schedule would vary depending on your site and project responsibilities. VISTA members should be prepared to work non-standard hours as needed.

A: No. There may a a possibility for a member to take a single class, but this must be pre-approved by the state office.

A: No. VISTA requires that members sign an agreement that they will not take on any other employment.
Q: Is VISTA a direct service program?
A: No, you will not be providing the service directly to those in need. You will, however, be developing the capacity of organizations to meet needs in new ways by launching initiatives and working on ensuring sustainability for these projects.

A: All decisions should be made by July 1st.

A: Atlanta, Georgia - All expenses are covered by the Americorps*VISTA program. Travel arrangements will be made through the VISTA office.
